Place the bobbin with its thread running off counterclockwise. Guide the thread into front notch A, left between the tension-spring blades and into side notch B. Pull about 10 cm (4 inches) to the rear and reattach the cover.

The bobbin should turn counterclockwise when pulling the bobbin thread. If not, reverse the bobbin and re-thread. Pull out about 10 cm (4") of thread to the rear. Reattach the hook cover plate.
